EarthQuaker Session Ep. 39 - Marcus Alan Ward "Visit Azania" +2
In this EarthQuaker Session, Cleveland guitarist Marcus Alan Ward stops by the Akron Recording Company to offer up a three-song set of guitar-led rockin’ soul, funk, with a touch of jazz. Ward uses the Grand Orbiter, Tone Job, and Rainbow Machine and leads his talented band featuring saxophone and a couple of swaying backup singers through original tunes “Visit Azania” and “I’m Not Like Other Girls.” Then “M.A.W.” brings it home with a chilled-out, head-nodding take on the Stevie Wonder written and Michael Jackson sung R&B classic, re-dubbed “She Can’t Help It.”
